From the earliest days of the development of our Nation's Capital, African American's have played a significant role in its evolution from a swampy southern town to a cosmopolitan city.  Washington is home to numerous attractions of great significance to African-American heritage and to the growth of our nation.

Illuminated Tour of Washington (7:00pm to 10:00pm)

If all of the world is a stage, then Washington, D.C. is the spotlight.  Nowhere else in America will they leave the lights on for you!  If you have never seen Washington at night...do not miss this tour during your stay.

All Sites Are Lines & Time Permitting.  Due to increased security measures in and around Washington, DC., Government buildings and attractions may close without prior notice.  We will not be held responsible for non-entry due to closures and or time allotment.

Please note that between March 15 and June 30th, half-day tours must end by 12:30 pm or begin at 1:30 pm.  Service requested before 7:00 am or after 10:00 pm will be subject to a $20 per hour surcharge.  If Capital City Tours arranges for tickets and/or admissions, there will be a $25 service charge per vehicle.

If needed, we can arrange transportation for your tour services to include Sedan, Limousine, Van & Charter Coach Service.  Please note in the comment section of the Questionnaire Form whether you would like transportation rates for your specific group size.

We can also arrange for U.S. Capitol Group Photos, restaurant bookings and meal vouchers.

*If you're interested in touring the White House or the U.S. Capitol during your visit, contact your Congressional Representative or Senator at least two months prior to your arrival.  All White House tours must be arranged through a member of congress; tours of the U.S. Capitol may be arranged upon your arrival, but you can avoid waiting in line by making advance arrangements.  International visitors should contact their embassies in Washington, DC for guidance.
